TN Small Business Owners Visit with Members of Congress at DC Fly-In

The event allowed owners to speak with elected leaders about critical small business issues

NFIB State Director Jim Brown led a group of Tennessee small business owners to Washington this week as part of the 2024 NFIB Fly-In.

NFIB members met with Reps. David Kustoff (8th District) and NFIB member John Rose (6th District) to discuss critical issues such as repealing the Corporate Transparency Act and making permanent the 20% Small Business Deduction, which is set to expire in 2025.

 

“The Fly-In gives our members the opportunity meet one-on-one with members of Congress and their staffs and explain the issues that are important to Main Street businesses,” Brown said. “We thank Congressmen Rose and Kustoff and everyone on Capitol Hill who met with our members this week and our members for taking time away from their businesses and making sure the voice of small business comes through loud and clear.”

NFIB members also met with staff members from the offices of Sens. Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty, as well as Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (3rd District). Blackburn was a keynote speaker at the Fly-In Dinner on Tuesday night.
