Thank You for Joining Us in Jefferson City!

Thank you to all our members who joined us for a successful Small Business Day here in Jeff City! We couldn’t have done it without you.

In case you couldn’t join, your fellow small business owners testified before the House Workforce and Infrastructure Development Committee. There, our members described the challenges they are facing in this ongoing labor shortage and the opportunities the General Assembly has before it to bolster our workforce. From fighting for tax and regulatory relief to making it easier for our small business owners to hire hardworking Missourians, NFIB Missouri has your back in the General Assembly.

After the hearing, our members participated in a Q&A with the Chairman of the House Small Business Committee Rep. Chris Brown, and Ray Wagner, Senior Advisor, and Chief Counselor to the Attorney General.  Following the event, NFIB State Director Brad Jones said:

“Today, our members underscored why job creators need tax relief, as inflation continues to put pressure on prices. The General Assembly also has an opportunity to bolster the workforce, which is badly needed, as many small business owners are trying to bridge the gap left by the labor shortage. Having our small business owners come to the Capitol to talk about the challenges they face helps our lawmakers craft better policies. We’ll continue to work with the Legislature to make it easier to do business here in the Show Me State.”

Thank you, again, to all our members for joining us! We’d love to see you for Small Business Day 2024!
