SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept. 26, 2022—The political action committee for California’s largest and leading small-business association today announced its endorsement of Brian Jones for State Senate.

“Senator Jones is a great champion of small business with a voting record to prove it.” said John Kabateck, California state director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), speaking for the NFIB CA PAC, which made the endorsement. “His effectiveness comes from being a businessman himself, an experience we badly need more of in the elected officials we send to Sacramento. Main Street, mom-and-pop small businesses salute the work Senator Jones has done on behalf of the people who are the engine of every successful economy in the world.”

Senate District 40 includes Escondido, Poway, Santee, the Mira Mesa and Rancho Bernardo neighborhoods of San Diego, Descanso, Lakeside and Ramona.

NFIB’s national membership spans the spectrum of business operations, ranging from sole proprietor enterprises to firms with hundreds of employees. While there is no standard definition of a small business, the typical NFIB member employs 10 people and reports gross sales of about $500,000 a year.
