Small Business Applauds Governor's Choice for Attorney General

Gov. Mike Parson has appointed Andrew Bailey as state attorney general of the State of Missouri. He will fill the vacancy created by the election of Attorney General Eric Schmitt to the U.S. Senate. Bailey currently serves as general counsel in the governor’s office. NFIB State Director Brad Jones applauded the move. “Andrew Bailey has done an outstanding job in the governor’s office working on behalf of all Missourians including small business owners. We believe he will continue to defend the rights of entrepreneurs to own, operate, and grow their businesses.” Bailey joined the governor’s office as deputy general counsel in 2019 and has served as general counsel since 2021. He has also served as assistant attorney general, assistant prosecuting attorney for the Warren County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and as general counsel for the Missouri Department of Corrections.
