Missouri’s annual Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday will be in full swing this weekend, as certain education-related items will be exempt from sales tax. Beginning August 4 at 12:01 AM CT through Sunday, August 6, school supplies, computers, and some clothing items will have their sales tax waived. You don’t have to be a student or Missourian to participate and enjoy the tax savings.  Ahead of the sales tax holiday, NFIB State Director Brad Jones spoke with KMIZ’s Grace Pankey and encouraged folks to shop small: “This is another opportunity where we’ve got, you know, thousands of small businesses out there that do provide some of the goods that are on the list, like kids clothes and computers and some of those things that are on the sales tax exemption list for the weekend.” For more information on the tax holiday and qualifying purchases, CLICK HERE.
