READ: Louisiana’s Got To Get ‘Ahead of the Curve’ on Income Tax Rates
BATON ROUGE (Oct. 19, 2023) – Highlighting Governor-elect Jeff Landry’s strong record of supporting small business owners and NFIB’s 90%-win ratio on election night, NFIB State Director Dawn McVea told the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report that local job creators are optimistic about a pro-small business legislative session in 2024.
Further reducing the state income tax is chief among the priorities of small business owners, so that Louisiana can remain competitive with neighboring states. McVea said. “We got ahead of the curve for a minute on income-tax rates because of the [2021] constitutional amendment…Everybody’s about to pass us by again.”
