Results help center NFIB’s lobbying agenda in the Legislature.
Your NFIB Montana member state ballot has been sent to you. If you haven’t already received it, please use it to express your opinion on four issues.
Unique among business associations, NFIB annually polls its members on state and federal issues vital to their ability to own, operate, and grow their enterprises. Results from the member ballots center NFIB’s lobbying position in Helena and in Washington, D.C. It’s because of this method, elected officials and other policymakers from coast to coast consider NFIB to be the true voice of small business.
The 2024 NFIB Montana member ballot asked four questions:
- Should Montana enact a statewide sales tax in an effort to limit property tax increases?
- Should Montana require employers to disclose salary ranges and benefits on job postings?
- Should the legislature authorize additional funding to increase childcare supply in Montana?
- Should the legislature pass laws protecting short term rental property owners from local restrictions?
The ballot contains background information and proponents’ and opponents’ comments on each of the issues. Please vote your ballot. Although the Legislature doesn’t return until 2025, interim committees will be shaping much of the agenda in 2024.
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
