Please Vote Your Colorado Member State Ballot

Your NFIB Colorado-member state ballot has been sent to you. If you haven’t already received it, please use it to express your opinion on four issues the General Assembly will be grappling with in 2024.  Unique among business associations, NFIB annually polls its members on state and federal issues vital to their ability to own, operate, and grow their enterprises. Results from the member ballots center NFIB’s lobbying position in Denver and in Washington, D.C. It’s because of this method, elected officials and other policymakers from coast to coast consider NFIB to be the true voice of small business.   The 2024 NFIB Colorado-member ballot asked four questions:
  •  Should Colorado enact legislation allowing employees to sue their employers for alleged Labor Code violations?
  • Should Colorado impose new taxes, assessments, or fees on motorists, shipping, or commercial and residential energy consumption to pay for infrastructure necessary to accommodate electric vehicles?
  • Should Colorado prohibit employers from holding mandatory, employer-sponsored meetings for the purpose of communicating their religious or political stances, also known as “captive audience” meetings?
  • Should Colorado levy a payroll tax to establish a new revenue stream to help fund childcare services?
The ballot contains background information and proponents’ and opponents’ comments on each of the issues. Please vote your ballot. The Colorado General Assembly returns for business on January 10, 2024.  Keep up with the latest Colorado small-business news at www.nfib.com/Colorado or by following NFIB on Twitter @NFIB_CO or on Facebook @NFIB.CO.
