Oppose Government Mandates: Say No to State Run Retirement!

A big mandate may be on the way for small businesses. Lawmakers have now reintroduced legislation to establish an automatic, state-facilitated retirement program in Pennsylvania called Keystone Saves. This program would target small businesses who do not currently offer retirement plans. While the state claims the program would come at no cost or burden to business owners, similar programs in other states have proven otherwise. Small businesses do not have the compliance attorneys or HR departments of large corporations to ensure each government mandate is met. Further, independent businesses thrive on flexibility. Government initiatives like Keystone Saves seem helpful on the surface, but often cause headaches behind the scenes as owners take time away from their business to comply with one mandate after another. The government has proven time and time again that they are poor stewards of your tax dollars. They should not be in charge of retirement dollars, too. Small business owners do NOT need one more thing on their already overflowing plates. Join the 84% of NFIB businesses that oppose Keystone Saves and tell your lawmakers to prevent this program from becoming law!
