NFIB Texas Recognizes Sen. Creighton as a Guardian of Small Business

CONROE (April 24, 2024) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, named state Sen. Brandon Creighton a ‘Guardian of Small Business’ today at Bartletts Distillery, owned by NFIB small business owner member Van Brackin.

“Our members are grateful to Sen. Brandon Creighton for his 100% voting record,” NFIB State Director Jeff Burdett said. “Throughout his time in the Texas Legislature, Sen. Creighton has consistently championed Main Street, working tirelessly to reduce red tape, cut taxes, and bolster the workforce. Most recently, Sen. Creighton was the Senate sponsor of the Texas Regulatory Consistency Act, a very important measure that makes it easier to do business across the state. We thank Sen. Creighton for his steadfast efforts on behalf of Texas small businesses.”

Creighton said. “Their success fuels our state’s prosperity and embodies the spirit of innovation and resilience that defines Texas. I will always fight to defend Texas job creators– and I appreciate the great work and support that NFIB Texas provides.” 

Senator Brandon Creighton (Conroe)—First elected to the Senate in 2014, Sen. Brandon Creighton represents the citizens of District 4. His efforts in the 2023 Legislative Session earned him a 100% on the NFIB Texas voting record. As a principal player in the Senate, Sen. Creighton serves as Chairman of the Senate Education Committee, Chairman of the Higher Ed subcommittee and on the Business & Commerce and Finance committees. He authored the Texas Regulatory Consistency Act (HB 2127) in the 2023 session and similar reforms in previous sessions. He authored several workforce education bills NFIB supported and testified in favor of, including the Advanced Career & Education (ACE) scholarship program.
