NFIB Testifies at Joint Legislative Budget Hearing on Taxes

The New York State Assembly and Senate are holding public hearings on the Governor’s $216 billion Executive Budget proposal, which will be negotiated over the next several weeks as the budget is due by April 1st. There are significant tax, spending, and policy initiatives in the budget that have far-reaching impacts on our state’s economy and small business owners. NFIB actively engages with lawmakers throughout the budget process and testifies on the issues affecting Main Street and job creators. At the joint legislative budget hearing on taxes, NFIB testified in support of small business tax relief and strongly urged the Legislature and Governor to address the UI Trust Fund crisis and the oppressive UI taxes being paid by small businesses.
