Small business owners are pressing for property and casualty insurance reforms
NFIB Responds to Governor Edwards' State of the State Address
“Our small business members continue to oppose government mandates that place bureaucrats and politicians in the middle of private business decisions concerning hiring and employee pay and benefits such as paid leave.
“We are encouraged, though, that Governor Edwards is open to reforming the property and casualty insurance market. The lack of competition here means small businesses and other insureds are paying more for basic coverage. We look forward to working with the legislature and Governor Edwards on reforms that enable small businesses to recover from natural disasters and ensure they have the coverage they need going forward.”
