NFIB Iowa PAC Announces Legislative Endorsements
Today, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Iowa PAC announced its endorsements of candidates for the Iowa General Assembly.
Iowa small businesses continue to struggle with economic uncertainty and regulatory burdens. With higher taxes, more mandates, lingering inflation, and a chronic workforce shortage making it harder for small businesses to keep up, it’s clear that Main Street needs strong advocates in the General Assembly.
“These candidates have proven that they’re willing to fight for our members to own, operate, and grow their small businesses,” said Matt Everson, NFIB Iowa State Director. “NFIB Iowa PAC is grateful for their commitment to making our state a better place to raise a family and do business.”
State legislative endorsements are determined by the NFIB IA PAC Board, which is comprised of Iowan small business owners. Incumbent legislative endorsements are based on the 2023-24 NFIB IA Voting Record, which reflects how a lawmaker voted on priority issues for small business owners. Lawmakers must have a score of 70 percent or better to qualify for endorsement. Non-incumbent candidate endorsements are based on various interviews and completing an NFIB candidate questionnaire.
The NFIB IA PAC endorsement is an important signal to voters across the state that a candidate will stand with small business. Today’s announced endorsements are listed below.
