The NFIB Georgia PAC today endorsed 82 candidates for seats in the General Assembly. The political action committee, which is comprised solely of NFIB members from throughout the state, endorsed 32 candidates in the Senate and 50 candidates in the House.

“Georgia needs a strong legislature, and these candidates either have a strong record of supporting Main Street or have shown our members that they’re determined to maintain an environment that enables entrepreneurs to own, operate, and grow their businesses,” NFIB State Director Nathan Humphrey said.

Early voting begins Oct. 17. Requests for absentee ballots are due by Oct. 28. Election Day is Nov. 8.

The NFIB Georgia PAC’s endorsement is important to these campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in large numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on key small business issues.
