New Jersey Sends Out ANCHOR Tax Rebate Guidance

Residents can see applications for the governor’s ANCHOR tax relief program arriving in the mail. Homeowners with incomes up to $150,000 will receive $1500 in relief; homeowners with incomes between $150,000 and $250,000 will receive $1,000 and renters will receive $450.00 to offset rent increases. The deadline for filing for the program is December 30, 2022, but checks will not be received until the spring. The intent of the program is to offset high property taxes. NFIB did not endorse this program because it did not include commercial properties, however, we wanted membership to be aware of the credit.
