Michigan Small Businesses Endorse Tom Barrett for Election to Congress

LANSING, Mich. (May 15, 2024) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, today endorsed Tom Barrett for election to the United States House of Representatives to represent Michigan’s 7th Congressional District. “Tom Barrett is a champion for small business owners in Michigan,” said Amanda Fisher, NFIB Michigan State Director. “Local small businesses know Tom Barrett from his time in the Michigan Legislature where he worked to remove burdensome government regulations and lower taxes. He understands the issues specific to the small business community and has pledged to support policies that will grow the economy. Based on his history, we are confident that Tom Barrett will be a small business ally in Congress.” “We are pleased to endorse Tom Barrett today,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “His experience and leadership in the Michigan Legislature will be valuable to small businesses during these difficult economic times. We know he will be a strong supporter and we look forward to working with him.” The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
