Massachusetts Pause to Continue for 2 weeks, MGCC Grant Money Still Available

Governor Charlie Baker announced the state “pause” reducing capacity to 25% for most industries and businesses, will continue for an additional two-weeks through January 24th. The administration stated they will re-evaluate whether capacity may increase as we near the end of the two-week extension and will make that decision based on health data.

Massachusetts Growth Capital Corp (MGCC) grants are also still available for impacted industries. Governor Baker announced in December that $668 million in grants would be made available to affected businesses, prioritizing industries like restaurants, caterers, retailers, close contact services, gyms, fitness centers, etc. It is important to remember that if a business owner applied for a MGCC grant last Fall, there is no need to resubmit an application.

Information on the MGCC grants is available by clicking here and there is a link at the bottom of the page to apply.
