Main Street is Encouraged by Gov. Pillen’s Commitment to Improving Business Conditions in Nebraska

LINCOLN (Jan. 25, 2023) – Small businesses in Nebraska are applauding Governor Jim Pillen’s State of the State address, where he outlined his plans to reform the state’s tax code. Following the address, the NFIB State Director Bob Hallstrom issued the following statement:

“While a lot has been accomplished to ensure small businesses can thrive, Governor Pillen is right to focus on tax relief in this legislative session. Far too many job creators are struggling to keep their shifts staffed while battling inflation. Not only will reforming the tax code make it easier to do business in Nebraska but will make us competitive with neighboring states. We look forward to working with our new Governor, his cabinet members, and the legislature to adopt policies that help spur greater economic growth and improve the business environment for small businesses in Nebraska.”
