“The NFIB/ITR Small Business Day Tax Luncheon is a great opportunity for like-minded Iowans to come together to discuss policy proposals and ideas that will unleash greater opportunity here in the Hawkeye State.”
Job creators traveled to Des Moines in March to participate in the National Federation of Business (NFIB) and Iowans for Tax Reform (ITR) Small Business Day Tax Luncheon. There, small business owners heard from lawmakers, tax experts, and policymakers on tax-related reforms.
That day, NFIB Iowa recognized Alan Schenck with a 60-year NFIB membership plaque. NFIB State Director Matt Everson said:
“For six decades, Alan Schenck has been a valued member of NFIB, helping ensure our success in the statehouse. We’re able to advocate on key issues that enable our members to own, operate, and grow their businesses thanks in large part to the commitment of our members like Alan.”
Everson continued, noting Iowa job creators’ enthusiasm for greater tax relief this legislative session.
“One of those key issues we’ve been working on for several years now is tax reform. Iowans are encouraged by the efforts our lawmakers are taking to strengthen constitutional protections for taxpayers and reduce the income tax burden. The NFIB/ITR Small Business Day Tax Luncheon is a great opportunity for like-minded Iowans to come together to discuss policy proposals and ideas that will unleash greater opportunity here in the Hawkeye State. We appreciate our program sponsors for their support and look forward to hosting another great event next year.”
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
