Iowa Small Businesses Endorse Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks for Re-Election to Congress
DES MOINES, Iowa (Sept. 18, 2024) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, endorsed Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Iowa’s 1st Congressional District.
“Rep. Miller-Meeks understands the importance of the small business economy and has shown tremendous leadership fighting for issues like lower taxes and less regulation,” said Matt Everson, NFIB Iowa State Director. “As inflation continues to hinder economic progress and a $4 trillion-dollar small business tax increase looms large, there is not an election more important for small business than the one held this November. On behalf of the NFIB members in Iowa, we proudly stand with Rep. Miller-Meeks. We look forward to her re-election and her return to Washington D.C to defend Iowa’s small businesses and their employees.”
“We are proud to endorse Rep. Miller-Meeks today,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “She has a 100% NFIB Voting Record and is an original cosponsor of the Main Street Tax Certainty Act to save the 20% Small Business Deduction. Rep. Miller-Meeks has been a dependable supporter of pro-small business policies, and we look forward to continuing to work with her to strengthen the small business economy.”
The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by the NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
