Florida’s Small Business Community Endorses U.S. Sen. Rick Scott for Re-Election

LARGO, Fla. (May 13, 2024) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, today endorsed Senator Rick Scott for re-election to represent Florida in the United States Senate. The endorsement was announced at a campaign event at NFIB member and small business Ascend Engineering in Largo. “There is no question that Senator Scott has been a staunch ally of small businesses in our state,” said Bill Herrle, NFIB Florida Executive Director. “As a former Florida governor, he has a strong record of advocating for pro-growth policies and has continued his commitment to those policies as a U.S. Senator. Senator Scott has earned a 100% NFIB voting record for this session and supports important legislation such as the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, which he is a co-sponsor of and a top priority for our members. We are confident that Senator Scott will continue to be a reliable advocate for Florida’s small businesses and we’re proud to endorse him today.” “Senator Scott knows our members well and the issues that are most important to them,” said Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director. “He has a solid record of promoting legislation that strengthens the small business economy and encourages small business owners to grow and thrive. We look forward to continuing to work with him.” The endorsement is issued from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB’s political action committee. NFIB FedPAC is funded by voluntary contributions by NFIB members over and above their membership dues. Decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed by a member-driven grassroots evaluation.
