Did You Miss NFIB's Virtual Event, "Maine Paid Family & Medical Leave Law, Explained," on Nov. 15th? Here Is the Recording.

On November 15th, NFIB hosted a virtual event on Maine’s new, expansive Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) law. State Director David Clough gave an informative presentation for members about the significant additions and changes to current law, the implementation process, and what small business owners can expect going forward. PFML is now law in Maine, and the complicated administrative implementation process has begun. Every employer, regardless of size, and every employee, regardless of status, will be affected. Additionally, self-employed people will have access for the first time to a workplace benefit. Benefits won’t begin until 2026, but it’s important to be aware now of what to expect and when, as well as what key decisions will be made over the next 14 months. NFIB’s virtual event gives you the information you need to prepare your business for the changes and requirements to come.
