Are Higher Energy Costs & Outages on the Horizon? Join NFIB for a Webinar on April 12th about Proposed Changes to New York’s Energy Policies.

New York State is considering sweeping and vast changes to how businesses and everyday New Yorkers consume energy. The Climate Action Council, an unelected council tasked with drafting a plan to achieve New York’s climate change goals, has proposed a plan that has significant implications for the state’s economy, small businesses, and all New Yorkers. What’s in the draft scoping plan under consideration?

The plan includes bans on natural gas as a heating source for new buildings and homes, new natural-gas based appliances like stoves, water heaters, and dryers, gas-fueled cars and diesel-fueled trucks, and caps on emissions and taking businesses based on their emissions levels. The over 300-page draft scoping plan will impact energy affordability and reliability at a time when businesses and consumers are dealing with rising energy costs.

Join NFIB on April 12th at noon to learn more about the draft plan, what it means for small businesses, and how you, as a small business owner, can make your voice heard before a final plan is adopted by New York State. Register here.
