REMINDER: Support Pro-Small Business Candidates in the May 2024 Runoff

April 28, 2024 Last Edit: July 23, 2024

Make your plan today to support pro-small business candidates in the May 2024 runoff elections.

This economy continues to pose significant challenges to small business owners. A recent NFIB survey found that small business optimism has reached its lowest level since 2012. It’s clear that now more than ever, Main Street needs strong advocates in Austin.

Make your plan to be the #VoiceOfSmallBusiness and support these candidates on – or before – the runoff, which is Tuesday, May 28. Early voting begins on May 20 and concludes May 24. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM CT to 7:00 PM CT. The last day to register to vote is April 29. For more information on voter registration and other FAQs, visit VoteTexas.gov.

Elections are a business decision, which is why NFIB’s Texas PAC has endorsed the following incumbent candidates for seats in the Texas House of Representatives.

House District 01 Gary VanDeaver
House District 21 Dade Phelan
House District 33 Justin Holland
House District 44 John Kuempel
House District 58 DeWayne Burns
House District 61 Frederick Frazier
House District 64 Lynn Stucky
House District 91 Stephanie Klick

Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to vote. NFIB will encourage its Texas members to help turn out the powerful small-business voting bloc for the runoff. Make your plan to vote today!
