Time Running Out to Shorten Missouri's Statute of Limitations

The Missouri Legislature is entering its final stretch, but lawmakers still haven’t acted on Senate Bill 631, one of the most important small business bills on this year’s agenda.

If passed, SB631 would reduce the window for filing a claim by three years. Currently, Missourians have five years to file a lawsuit. SB631 would reduce that to two years.

This year’s regular legislative session is scheduled to gavel to a close on May 30.
