Main Street Calls on Governor Kelly to Improve Business Conditions in Kansas

TOPEKA (Jan. 25, 2023) – Following Governor Laura Kelly’s State of the State address, NFIB State Director Dan Murray urged Kansas lawmakers to prioritize economic growth in the 2023 legislative session: “With more than half of all job creators anticipating worsening business conditions in the next six months, it’s incumbent for Gov. Kelly and the Legislature to prioritize economic growth. That means creating a tax code that works for all Kansans. Bolstering our skilled workforce is a shared priority, as far too many of our local job creators are struggling to keep their shifts staffed while battling inflation. We will continue to work with the Governor, her cabinet members, and the legislature to adopt policies that help spur greater economic growth and improve the business environment for small businesses in Kansas.”
