Illinois Paid Leave Rules Published

The Illinois Department of Labor published final administrative rules for the Paid Leave for All Workers Act on May 17. The publication follows the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) signing off on them last month. The final rules can be accessed on the Illinois Department of Labor’s website. The paid-leave mandate went into effect on January 1, 2024. NFIB was the only statewide business association that consistently opposed the final paid-leave bill when it was under consideration by the Illinois General Assembly.
