(Sept. 16, 2022) – The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business advocacy organization, awarded U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell with the Guardian of Small Business Award, NFIB’s most prestigious legislative recognition. “Senator Mitch McConnell has been a consistent ally of Kentucky’s small businesses in Congress,” said Tom Underwood, NFIB Kentucky State Director. “He voted to extend the Paycheck Protection Program and opposed amendments to restore the Raise the Wage Act and raise taxes on small businesses during the pandemic.
