WATCH: Speak So Legislators Listen

NFIB State Director Annie Spilman and Legislative Director John McCord hosted a webinar on Jan. 19 to give small business owners advice on how to engage with local lawmakers during this year’s legislative session. They also talked about NFIB’s legislative priorities for 2021 and previewed this year’s virtual Small Business Day at the Capitol, planned for Feb. 22-23.

Spilman said, “These legislators, throughout the pandemic, have talked about, ‘Go out and support your small business. Let’s keep them open, keep people employed.’ And now you have to tell them how they can help you do that.”

If you have any questions about issues affecting your small business or connecting with local legislators, contact Annie Spilman at annie.spilman@NFIB.org or John McCord at john.mccord@NFIB.org.
