SC Legislative Session Gets Underway

The 2021 Legislative Session began today, and it comes with a wide range of issues impacting small business and the many ways NFIB will be addressing them. These issues include:

  • Tort reform (S 145
  • Much needed COVID liability protections (S 147)
  • Reducing sales tax on services (H 3392).
  • Opposing an increase in the state minimum wage.
  • Raising taxes on small businesses to fund Medicaid expansion.

One of the best tools at your disposal is the NFIB Engage app that you can download to your phone or tablet. With the app, you will be able to update your preferences and the different ways you are wanting to get involved, and view the latest news from Columbia and Washington, D.C.
