The agenda includes new state laws that took effect this summer
NFIB will present a free webinar from 9-10 a.m. on Aug. 13 to explain how several new state laws could affect small businesses.
Those who cannot participate in the live event may register to receive a recording of the program.
Topics will include:
- Minimum wage increases
- Paid family and medical leave
- Pay transparency and job posting rules
- Expanded workplace discrimination liability
- Wage-and-hour liability
- Heat illness prevention rules
- Restrictions on noncompete agreements
The webinar will be presented by NFIB State Director Julia Hammond and Beth Milito, executive director of the NFIB Small Business Legal Center.
