TOPEKA, KS (July 14, 2026) – The National Federation of Independent Business, the state’s leading small business advocacy organization, announced today that 95 Kansas lawmakers, including 24 members of the Senate and 71 members of the House, earned a 100 percent NFIB voting record during the 2025-2026 legislative session. The scorecard includes votes on a variety of issues related to small businesses, including tax and regulatory relief, as well as lawsuit abuse reform.

“These lawmakers stood up for Main Street Kansans, supporting policies that strengthen the small business economy here in our state,” NFIB State Director Dan Murray said. “While more work remains to be done, the reforms advanced by the Legislature will help Kansas small business owners do what they do best: create jobs and invest in our communities.”

The NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element considered by a legislator when voting, nor does it represent a complete profile of the lawmaker. The 2025-2026 Voting Record includes 12 key votes in both chambers of the legislature on issues important to small business.
