AUSTIN, TX (July 10, 2026) – Following the recent antitrust settlement between the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and John Deere, NFIB State Director Jeff Burdett issued a statement reaffirming the small business advocacy organization’s commitment to defending Texas’ right to repair law, HB 2963, on behalf of small business owners.
“This settlement is a major victory for farmers, independent repair shops, and small business owners who rely on John Deere products in their operations,” Burdett said. “During the 2025 legislative session, NFIB was proud to champion HB 2963, so that small business owners can continue to take care of their customers’ needs and repair the tools they need to support their livelihoods. On behalf of our members across the state, we will continue advocating for reforms that make it easier to do business in Texas.”
