Small Business Owners Visit with Speaker Johnson at DC Fly-In

June 14, 2024 Last Edit: June 5, 2025

The event allowed owners to speak with elected leaders about critical small business issues

NFIB members from throughout the country flew to Washington this week to participate in the 2024 NFIB Fly-In.

The annual event gives small business owners from across the country the opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing America’s job creators and to speak out about important issues such as repealing the Corporate Transparency Act and saving the 20% Small Business Deduction, which is set to expire in 2025.

“Speaking directly with House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana and other congressional leaders allows our members the opportunity to explain exactly what’s at stake for their small businesses,” NFIB State Director Leah Long said.

“I want to thank Speaker Johnson and other members of Congress and their staffs for meeting with us, and I want to thank our members for taking time away from their businesses to fly to Washington and speak out about the issues that affect small businesses here and throughout the country.”
