Illinois legislators didn’t advance any meaningful legislation in January
Illinois legislators returned to Springfield in January to kick off the spring legislative session.
The Senate gaveled in on January 13-14, and the House met January 20-22.
Neither chamber advanced any substantial legislation—though the House passed a number of resolutions.
The bill-filing deadline for both chambers is February 6, with the governor set to give his budget address on February 18.
