NEW: Updated 2026-2027 Texas Business Licenses & Permits Guide Now Available

The Governor's Office of Small Business Assistance and the Business Permit Office announced an updated resource to guide Texas entrepreneurs toward the appropriate permitting needs

The Governor’s Office of Small Business Assistance and the Business Permit Office released a newly updated 2026-2027 Texas Business Licenses & Permits Guide. The guide aims to assist entrepreneurs in determining what state-level business licenses or permits are required to do business in Texas.

 

NOTE: It is important to ensure all permitting requirements are also met at the local level. You can learn more about these requirements by contacting your local county and city government.
