PREVIEW: Kansas Legislature to Convene on Monday, January 12

NFIB Kansas will continue working with lawmakers to make it easier to do business in the Sunflower State

The Kansas Legislature will convene on Monday, January 12, for its 90-day general legislative session. We expect budget cuts will be the primary focus in the upcoming legislative session, as there is an anticipated $200 million annual shortfall over the next three years.

As the voice of small business owners in Kansas, NFIB will actively participate in several key policy debates, including property tax relief, lawsuit abuse reform, and opposing employer regulations.

As cost increases continue to take a toll on consumers and employers alike, small business owners here in Kansas and across the country are struggling to fill open positions. NFIB will be working with lawmakers to make it easier to do business in the Sunflower State.
