Speaker’s Task Force on Rulemaking Public Hearing

The Task Force’s public hearings are aimed at giving Wisconsinites the ability to speak on how rulemaking and administrative regulation impacts their lives and businesses. Furthermore, in the wake of recent Supreme Court decisions, any concerns that small businesses have regarding rulemaking uncertainty, now that agencies have more power.

The special committee will identify agency rulemaking authority to be repealed by legislation. The task force will also identify agencies that have too broad rulemaking authority. Examples of these include, but are not limited to, environmental regulations, building code regulations, and fee setting authority.
