NFIB member business Glow Floral Event Design in Tuscaloosa has been selected to help decorate the White House this holiday season.

Owner and creative director Tammy West told Yellowhammer News, “We submitted everything and then waited about two months to hear back…. We were approved pending the background check, and then just a few days ago, we got the email — we’re in.”

West said her team will spend a week in Washington leading up to the White House Christmas Party on Dec. 1. “I have no idea exactly what we’ll be working on,” she said. “But I’m sure we’ll be covered in glitter the whole time.”

NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash said, “Tammy West represents the best of Alabama small business—creativity, determination, and community pride.

“It’s inspiring to see one of our own members recognized on a national stage like this,” Elebash said.

West launched Glow Floral out of her home during the pandemic and has since grown it into a thriving downtown studio known for its personalized, hand-crafted arrangements and exceptional event designs. She told Yellowhammer News, “To be able to represent Tuscaloosa and Alabama at the White House is such an incredible honor.”
