Shop Small During West Virginia’s Sales Tax Holiday

July 28, 2025

The annual sales tax holiday takes place Aug. 1-4, 2025

Ahead of West Virginia’s 2025 annual sales tax holiday, NFIB West Virginia State Director Gil White encourages shoppers to shop small and support Main Street businesses:

“This year’s sales tax holiday is a great opportunity to shop small and support West Virginia’s small businesses,” said White. “When you shop small, you keep more of your hard-earned money in West Virginia and strengthen our local economy. As the backbone of West Virginia’s economy, we hope that more people will turn to their Main Street businesses to shop and dine this weekend.”

West Virginia’s annual sales tax holiday will take place from August 1-4, 2025. The state sales tax will be exempt on certain items, including clothing, school supplies, sports equipment, computers, and more.
