The event gave small business owners a chance to engage directly with elected leaders
NFIB State Director Leah Long led a group of small business owners from across the state to Washington, D.C., June 9-11 for the 2025 NFIB Fly-In.
The annual event gives NFIB members a chance to meet with members of Congress and their staffs to talk about critical issues, such as repealing burdensome and costly beneficial ownership requirements and saving the the 20% Small Business Deduction, which is set to expire at the end of the year.
“This is a great opportunity for small business owners to tell lawmakers and their staffs about the impact federal legislation has on Main Street,” Long said. “The Fly-In is one of NFIB’s most powerful tools to help leaders understand what’s at stake for Mississippi’s small businesses.”
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
