The event gave small businesses a chance to engage with their elected leaders
NFIB members from throughout the state came to Raleigh on June 17 for Small Business Day, hosted by NFIB and the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC).
This annual event gives NFIB members and other small business owners the chance to meet face-to-face with state lawmakers and share how the decisions made in Raleigh impact their businesses and communities.
Speakers at this year’s event, held at North Carolina Museum of Natural Science, included North Carolina House Speaker Destin Hall. The agenda also included a panel discussion with Sens. Woodson Bradley and Bob Brinson and Reps. Beth Helfrich and Mike Schietzelt.
“This was a great event because it gave our members a chance to hear directly from lawmakers and engage with their elected leaders on the issues affecting their ability to own, operate, and grow their businesses,” NFIB State Director Gregg Thompson said.
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
