TAKE ACTION: Say “No” to New Taxes on Illinois Small Businesses

TAKE ACTION: Say “No” to New Taxes on Illinois Small Businesses

May 23, 2025

Some in Springfield are advocating for tax increases to fund reckless governmental spending. Take action now to tell lawmakers how this will impact small businesses.

With state revenues projected to come in lower than Governor’s Pritzker’s proposed budget, some in Springfield are advocating for tax increases to fund additional governmental spending. Some of the ideas being talked about include a service tax, a delivery tax, and an advertisement tax.

Many legislators from both parties are hesitant to raise taxes once again and no concrete tax-increase proposals have yet been filed.

With one week to go in the spring legislative session, we need to keep the pressure on state legislators so that they don’t buckle to special interests and vote for higher taxes!

Reach out to your legislator today and tell them what a tax increase would mean for your small business!
