Illinois Small Business Day Brings Together Small Business Owners, Legislators, and Officials

March 24, 2025

Attendees heard directly from Illinois legislators and state agencies

NFIB members who attended Small Business Legislative Day in Springfield heard directly from legislators and state agencies about issues impacting small businesses.

The event—cohosted by NFIB, Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), and Technology and Manufacturing Association (TMA)—brought together small business owners, legislators, and agency officials to discuss and learn about small business policies and issues in Illinois.

The event included association updates, two panels, and a legislative reception.

–  The first panel consisted of representatives from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the Illinois Department of Revenue, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, the Illinois Department of Labor, and the Illinois Department of Transportation.

–  The second panel consisted of Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer, Senator Craig Wilcox, and Senator Jason Plummer.

During the reception, attendees had an opportunity to meet and tell their stories to legislators.
