NFIB Members Gather for Small Business Day at the Capitol

The event gave owners a chance to engage with elected officials

NFIB members from throughout the state gathered in Montgomery on March 12 for Small Business Day at the Capitol.

This year’s agenda including meetings with Gov. Kay Ivey’s deputy chief of staff, Brooks McClendon, and Secretary of State Pat Harris. Other speakers included Stephanie Smith, president of the Alabama Public Policy Institute, and Kailah Dozier, director of marketing with the Alabama Community College System’s Innovation Center. Attendees were also given a tour of the Alabama House of Representatives by Clay Redden, the House public information officer.

“This was a great event that give our members and guests the opportunity to speak with state leaders and learn more about the issues facing Alabama’s small businesses,” NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash said.

“I want to thank all of our speakers for taking the time to engage with our members about the challenges facing them,” she said.
