Florida’s Small Businesses Encourage Pro-Growth Legislation

Florida’s Small Businesses Encourage Pro-Growth Legislation

March 4, 2025

The Florida Legislature convened in Tallahassee for the Start of Session

Following the Florida Legislature convening its session today, NFIB Florida Executive Director Bill Herrle urged lawmakers to continue strengthening the small business economy this session:

“As lawmakers return to Tallahassee for the start of session, small business owners throughout the Sunshine State are battling ongoing economic challenges and some are still recovering from last year’s hurricane season. Small businesses urge the Florida Legislature to continue making Florida a great place to own a small business by supporting pro-growth legislation to strengthen the economy. Small businesses would greatly benefit from Governor DeSantis’s recent budget proposal to completely repeal Florida’s business rent tax. We look forward to working with members of the Legislature and Governor DeSantis this session on behalf of Florida’s small businesses.”
