Small Businesses to General Assembly: Let’s Unleash the Missouri Economy

January 3, 2024 Last Edit: July 20, 2024

There is an enormous opportunity for the General Assembly to unleash the Missouri economy this legislative session.

JEFFERSON CITY (Jan. 3, 2024) – Ahead of the General Assembly’s 2024 session, NFIB State Director Brad Jones called on lawmakers to prioritize the Missouri economy.

“There is an enormous opportunity for the General Assembly to unleash the Missouri economy this legislative session. From giving a boost to start-up entrepreneurs to providing greater access to affordable child care, small business owners want to see lawmakers come together and support our state’s economy. This has been a difficult economy for hardworking families and employers alike. That’s why it was so disappointing when pro-small business legislation died on the vine last session. When we help small businesses keep their doors open, we help all of Missouri, which is why NFIB will continue to work with legislators to make it easier to do business in the Show Me state.”
