LISTEN: NFIB Missouri Appears on Wake Up Mid-Missouri

February 18, 2025

Discusses small business priorities, including tax reform, Prop A, and more with Wake Up Mid Missouri.

In a conversation with Wake Up Mid-Missouri, NFIB State Director Brad Jones discussed several small business priorities this legislative session, including tax reform and addressing Main Street’s concerns with implementing Proposition A.

When asked about Prop A, Jones said:

“There are several bills in the House that have been heard. The sick leave part is really causing some heartburn in the small business community. There are so many questions about how to implement it. It’s going to be very costly. So we’re really having some discussions about how to make it work.”

Several members of the Missouri business community, including NFIB, have filed a petition with the Missouri Supreme Court to overturn Prop A. The Missouri Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on March 12, 2025. Stay tuned for updates!
