Small Businesses Applaud Hosemann's Plan to Suspend Fuel Tax

NFIB State Director Dawn McVea released the following statement today in response to Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann’s call to suspend the state fuel tax for six months: “Inflation is the major concern for small businesses, and rising fuel prices are making things even worse. Today, the statewide average is $4 a gallon, up from $3.75 a week ago and $3.15 a month ago. That has a tremendous impact on small businesses because the price at the pump affects the price of everything else. “Suspending the fuel tax, along with eliminating the state income tax, will relieve some of the financial pressure on small businesses as well as their customers.”
