NFIB Seeking Montana Member Input on Broadband Survey

State lawmakers are considering how to properly use the already designated federal funding for broadband. Your participation will help lawmakers understand the best way to help small businesses that are struggling with unreliable or expensive Internet connections. Please take a moment to take our brief survey here. The COVID pandemic has revealed many weaknesses in Montana’s current high-speed internet broadband network. As many businesses were forced into using online resources to continue operating, weak signals and unreliable connections created a serious hardship for many of Montana’s small businesses. Late last year, Congress passed, and President Biden signed, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that committed $1.2 trillion in spending on infrastructure projects nationwide. Included in the bill is $100 million earmarked for broadband improvements and expansion in Montana. NFIB wants to be sure that this funding is wisely used to help small businesses. As an NFIB member, you are part of an organization that is working to defend your right to own, operate and grow your business by leveling the playing field with Big Business, Big Government and Big Labor. Part of the value of your NFIB membership is access to our outstanding events with local, state, and federal lawmakers.
